Sabine Hagmann (she /her) is a transdisciplinary artist and educator, based in Zürich. She collaborates with Susanne Hofer on the project A Woman In The World AWITW.
Sabine Hagmann is an artist, educator and activist. Her practice revolves around the questions of who we are, how we move in and between worlds and relate to others. She is interested in small-scale tales, basic questions, and everyday existential experiences. She works with ideas, photography, video, words, and people. She also creates installations, performances and participatory events – often in collaboration with others. She has exhibited widely and worked in several artist collectives.
She studied at the University of Basel, the Basel School of Art, at the Schule für Gestaltung Zürich/ZHdK (diploma in photography in 1994), and at Goldsmiths College/University of London (MA in Fine Art in 2000).
Based in Zurich, she has worked abroad as part of artist residencies in Genoa/Italy, Bamako/Mali, Marseille/France, Arbroath/Scotland, Tbilisi/Georgia and longer stays in Istanbul and London. Sabine Hagmann has been teaching internationally.
