"Family"

“family”*:

Chosen family I believe is a regenerative community of growth and support.

Memory bank –

Estranged.

Because a chosen family emerges from how we move through the work.

Involves blood, contracts, and a shared history.

The pain that we carry with our chosen family is shared differently. It is less “for granted” and the relation is more as a practice.

A place you long to turn to even as you pull away from it.

Seeing one’s existence. Accept one’s being.

Sometimes an all-consuming after thought in practice.

A structure in which there is an agreement.

Family is a space where feeling sad doesn’t feel uncomfortable.

Family means we are all connected (in a weird way) and we are responsible of what happens collectively.

Family sits between love and accountability.

>Creating a space for - Sadness & Grief - Conflict Resolution - Healing & Dialogue.

I CALL THEM BECAUSE I SHOULD.

ANOTHER FAMILY, LIKE SIBLINGS OR WIVES.

We should practice ‘family’ with all the love, care and solidarity beyond its borders.

That my friends could be family to me.

THE PEOPLE WHO ARE TRYING TO START THEIR DAY WITHOUT YOU BUT WILL BE READY TO WELCOME YOU ANY TIME YOU ARE READY TO JOIN

We are all interconnected.

“I am because you are” (Indonesian saying / understanding of Peace)

Family is non-consensual permanent attachments with random locals.

It’s the one thing no one chose.

Family is a process of becoming together w/ fellow humans, non-humans, & the planet.

Family is who you would run to and share.

New kinships that allow us to break familiar patterns. New images that allow us to imagine unfamiliar settings.

FAMILIA ES LA MANADA.

Family – chosen, built Your base, your home, your safe heaven.

Kind of meaningless but also really important.
